grund is open source first: you can always run all of it yourself, for free. When you'd rather we host the dashboard and handle the updates, it's a few euros a machine. Businesses pay for the extras, and rent machines from us when they'd rather not own any.

Per-machine prices apply to machines you own. Machines rented from grund carry no license fee (below). Prices in euros, excluding VAT, and may change before launch.

Questions people ask.
- What counts as a machine?
- Any computer grund runs your apps on: a mini PC, a server you own, or one you rent. The laptop you deploy from doesn't count.
- Can I run all of it myself?
- Yes, always. grund is open source first: every part, including the dashboard, runs self-hosted on your own machines. Our hosted services are a convenience, never a requirement.
- Do my apps need a domain?
- No. Every app gets an address on grund's domain, even on a home connection without open ports. On Pro and Business you can use your own domain, or hand it to grund and it creates the addresses for you.
- Is the free machine a trial?
- No. Self-hosted is free and open source, and your first machine on Homelab is free for as long as you use it.
- Why is there no license on grund machines?
- Because the rental price already covers it. A grund machine costs about what the same server would cost you elsewhere plus a Pro license.
- Do you charge for traffic, apps or storage?
- No. Only machines are priced. Your hardware or provider covers the rest, and grund machines include it.
- What happens to my apps if I stop paying?
- On your own machines they keep running, and you drop back to the free machine. A grund machine is a rental, so it ends with your plan; your data can be exported first.
- When can I buy it?
- grund is in development. These prices are our plan and may change before launch. Follow the build on GitHub to hear first.
